The TSSU Supports the Strike of the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill

The Teaching Support Staff Union supports the actions of the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill, the AGSEM in their efforts to limit class sizes, to secure meeting spaces for TAs to meet with students, to ensure that TAs have access to adequate paid training so they can do their jobs, and to find ways to ensure graduate employees are paid for as many hours as they work.

The AGSEM has been on strike since Tuesday, April 8, 2008.

We believe in the AGSEM's fight to have the McGill University administration recognize the work of graduate student employees as the work of professional educators.
