Sex Work 101: De-stigmatizing Sex Work & Building Effective Allyship

This event is held on the unceded territory of the sḵwx̱wú7mesh, sel̓íl̓witulh, & xʷməθkʷəy̓əm nations.

The TSSU Solidarity & Social Justice Committee (SSJC) is excited to work with PACE Society for a workshop on de-stigmatizing sex work and learning how to build effective allyship with sex workers.

In this workshop, we will learn about:
- What is sex work? Who are sex workers? Sex work v.s. trafficking/exploitation
- the impact of criminalization of sex work.
- Stigmatization of sex workers & barriers faced sex workers
- Empowering v.s. harmful language- Social inequalities and their impact on sex workers
- How to build solidarity across intersections

This free workshop is open to TSSU members first, but everyone is welcome! 🙂
