Zora Feren

Greetings all, my name is Zora and I am running for treasurer.

You may know me as the person at the front of the room in General Membership Meetings, speaking loudly and laughing maybe a little too much. I have served as Chair for the last 10 months, and have loved spending time with the Executive Committee and meeting all the new members who come out to our events and sessions.

I am a Communication masters student, Graduate Student Society representative, science communicator and sea slug lover.

I have decided to put my name forward because I would like to continue to support TSSU in a way which is less public, and pay attention to the little things behind the scenes. I have an eye for detail, enjoy doing my taxes, and love spreadsheets. I am excited at the prospect of learning accounting software and helping our amazing Union at the same time!

Thank you all for your time,

Zora

Mona Mehdizadeh

My fellow TSSU people,

I am Mona Mehdizadeh and I am a 2nd year PhD student in Computing Science. I got involved with TSSU in the past summer and since then I have been the Stewart for the Computing Science department and one of the organizers helping with the softball campaign to unionize RAs. At my time with TSSU, I got familiar with many challenges that TSSU face and It would be an honor to serve as the Treasurer for our union to address those challenges from a financial point of view, Thank you for your time and consideration.

In solidarity,
Mona
