TSSU's Strike and Picket Vote

The TSSU has been without a contract for 15 months and SFU’s Administration is still stalling the bargaining process. It is clear that we need to increase the pressure through strike action in order to get to a collective agreement.

After we started withholding grades, SFU’s administration threatened to tie us up in months of litigation. Our goal is a collective agreement, and we have decided to side-step that delay by ending job action until we can hold a second strike vote. This vote will authorize all types of job action, up to and including picket lines.

All members who have held a TSSU appointment since September 2014 (i.e., Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters) are eligible to vote. We need a strong yes vote in order to tell the administration to stop playing games and start addressing our core issues.
