At the May GM, money was approved to send two TSSU members to the CGEU conference (details below). All costs will be covered (e.g. conference registration, airfare, hotel, meals). This post provides important information about the nomination process, and criteria upon which applications will be evaluated.

What it is: Conference focused on graduate student labour (e.g. mobilizing members, gaining recognition of employee status)
When and where: Fri 11 Aug - Sun 13 Aug, 2017 in London, Ontario
Who can apply: Any member
Deadline for nominations: Thu 29 Jun, 2017 by 12:00 pm
Nomination process:
Please submit a statement describing the following:
- Your current membership status in TSSU (e.g. ELC/ITP instructor, Sessional Instructor, TA, TM)
- Current involvement in the union (e.g. committees on which you are an active member)
- How participation in the conference will benefit your activism in TSSU
- How you will use skills gained from the conference in your TSSU activism
- Any other information you feel is relevant
- Nominations may be emailed to organizer@tssu.ca by Thu 29 Jun, 2017 at 12:00 pm
Evaluation criteria:
- Nominations will be evaluated based on the information contained in the "Educational Resources" Policy: TSSU Bylaws and Policies
