By-election: Trustee 2 & Ex-Officio
- Nomination Period: Monday November 23rd - Monday Dec 7th
- Election tokens sent out Dec 8th
Election: VDLC Reps & Grad Student Society Reps
- Nomination Period: Monday November 23rd - Close Wednesday January 13th (GM)
- Elected at January GM meeting (candidate does not have to attend, but does have to notify tssu(at)tssu.ca ahead of time).
Duty Descriptions:
Trustee 2: Stipended. Oversees executive and elections, ensures bylaws are adhered to. Sits on two committees, one of which must be either Finance or Internal Relations Committee. Helps run elections with other Trustee or Official Electorial Officer in November and March.
Ex-Officio: Stipended. Helps provide institutional memory, must have held a previous executive position. Non-voting.
VDLC Reps: Stipended. Vancouver District Labour Council (VDLC) hold meetings held between many greater Vancouver area unions on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 1880 Triumph Street (at Victoria Dr). TSSU has 4 rep spots, duties are to attend meetings and to send details of meeting occurrences back to the TSSU including notifying us when events etc are coming up.
GSS Reps: Stipended. The Graduate Student Society (GSS) at SFU hold meetings every month rotating between campuses. TSSU has one main rep, and two alternatives, all of whom must be a GSS member as well. Duties are to attend meetings and to send details of meeting occurrences back to the TSSU including notifying us of upcoming votes and voting in our interest.
