TSSU is excited to announce our upcoming member outreach training day on Saturday, February 24 from 11:00 am - 4:30 pm, in HC 101, SFU Harbour Centre (Vancouver)!

The training is organized by TSSU’s Member Mobilization Committee (MMC). The MMC is the committee responsible for outreach and communication to our membership - i.e., you! We are the group who generally organizes member socials, TA/TM days, and other events. We also produce TSSU's printed materials, like the flyers and pamphlets you’ve probably grabbed when TSSU is tabling on campus. All TSSU members are welcome to join MMC at any time.** Members are reimbursed $150/month for up to 12 hours of work (including MMC meetings) each month, and $20/hour after that (and the training day counts as MMC hours!).

We’re always open to new members and have organized this training day to help train folks in some of the tools and techniques we use in our outreach activities. The training day is free, and there will be coffee and snacks (get in touch if you have any dietary restrictions). Attendees will also get their lunches reimbursed.*

* There are so many great places to eat near Harbour Centre that we couldn’t decide where to go! So everyone attending will be reimbursed up to $14 for their lunch, under TSSU’s per diem policy.
