We encourage you to come out and talk discuss the various tactics and strategies open to us to continue to fight for public education in general and SFU in particular.

The event will be held in AQ 3005 at 12:30PM.

Speakers include:

Please join us in fighing for student and workers rights on campus!

Your Union Is Meeting – Downtown! Nominate Yourself for a TSSU position!

February’s General Membership Meeting is next Tuesday, February 24th from 4:00-5:30pm in Harbour Centre room 2250. This meeting is being held at SFU Harbour Centre, downtown and you are invited to have your voice heard, and to have an early supper.

At the last GM nominations were opened for the following Salaried Officer and Executive positions: Chief Steward, Coordinator, Treasurer, Trustee II, Secretary, and Ex-Officio. Nominations for these
positions will close following the end of the GM on Tuesday.

FYI: here is how much each position pays: Cheif Steward and Coordinator are salaried for 25 hours a week, Treasurer makes $1000/semester, Trustee II, Secretary, and Ex-Officio make $450/semester.

If you would like more information, contact tssu@tssu.ca. If you are looking for a nomination form (and you can self-nominate, by the way), the forms can be found online at www.tssu.ca. Getting involved in your union can be a rewarding experience!

We know this is a busy time of the semester, so to entice you a delicious feast has been ordered (Out-To-Lunch Catering rocks!), and some of us will be going to a near-by pub for drinks and further conversation afterward.

Please let us know if you have any questions–and see you next Tuesday!

In solidarity,

SO’s
